Richard Branson's Advice You Should Listen To

Sometimes, it's hard to take advice. We all know it is. But the kind of advice that we should always be open to receiving is advice from people who have followed a similar path to ours. That's not to say we should strive to replicate what others do, but that we should collect insights that might help us in our own similar journey.

Richard Branson is one such person with a proven track record of entrepreneurship. With a net worth of $5.2B, Branson learned through tenacity and experience what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur. Here are a few insights from the video below:

    1) Remember you are running a company of people. Companies are built on human beings, not products and processes. Remember to be a good listener, offer much praise, and keep those people happy.

    2) Don't become a slave to your bank. While they may often be a big reason you were able to start your business, it doesn't mean you have to stick to them. "Be willing to step up and move your banks in the same way you'd step up and move doctors on occasion," Branson says.
